Villagers are Out and About!

by Carla Griffin on June 26, 2010

July is a busy month for the residents:

July 3 – The Villages will be celebrating July 4 with a parade including the marching band from Del Mar High School, a Marine unit and a guest soldier on leave from Iraq, vintage cars, and many floats (decorated golf cars). Come out and celebrate with games, food, music, and visiting with your Village neighbors and friends.

July 7 – Outing to the de Young museum to see the “Birth of Impressionism”. The de Young is proud to be the only museum in the world to present two consecutive special exhibitions from the Musee d’Orsay in Paris. The “Post Impressionist Masterpieces will be toured in the Fall.

This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to experience these masters in our backyard!

July 18 – NY Mets come to San Francisco and Villagers will be off to the ol’ ballpark in an air-conditioned coach. All seating will be in the shade so perfect time to take in a ball game at AT&T Park.

July 31 – Rival LA Dodgers come to San Francisco. The bus leaves the community at 10:30am.

In the community the pools and fitness are back in full operation:
*Water Fitness Program for Arthritis
*Water Aerobics Class
*Stretch & Tone Class
*Zumba Gold!
*”Dance Your Buns Off”

Watch for the exciting outings planned for August!
